Today is China Malaysia friendship a landmark day in the history. Here we are solemnly commemorating and celebrating the 40 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic, I should like to assure Mr Najib, Prime Minister and members of Malaysia's friends are warmly welcomed, has long been committed to Sino-Malaysian friendship and expressed heartfelt thanks!
40 years ago today, as we are now in the West Hall of the great Hall, Premier Zhou Enlai and Prime Minister Najib's father Ma Lazak Prime Ministers signed a joint communique, Malaysia among the ASEAN countries first established diplomatic relations with China, opened a new chapter in the history of development of Sino-Malaysian relations, also opened a new era of relations between China and ASEAN countries.
It was dense clouds of the cold war era, the international situation is complicated and ideologically polarized between East and West. ——在中国同马亚西亚建立外交关系40周年庆祝大会上的讲话

女士们，先生们，朋友们：
今天是中国同马来西亚友好关系史上一个具有里程碑意义的特殊日子。我们在这里隆重纪念和共同庆祝中马建交40周年，我谨向纳吉布总理和各位马来西亚的朋友们表示热烈欢迎，向长期以来致力于中马友好的两国各界人士表示衷心感谢！
40年前的今天，就在我们现在所处的人民大会堂西大厅，周恩来总理同纳吉布总理的父亲拉扎克总理共同签署了中马联合公报，马来西亚在东盟国家中率先同中国建立外交关系，翻开了中马关系发展历史新篇章，也开启了中国与东盟国家关系的新纪元。
那是冷战风云密布的年代，国际形势错综复杂，东西方意识形态严重对立。拉扎克总理高瞻远瞩，毅然来华进行“破冰之旅”。两国老一辈领导人在时代的迷雾中排除干扰、克服困难，用睿智的眼光，共同选择了一条正确的道路，让中马这两个友好邻邦走到了一起，成为本地区友好合作的先行者和典范。
中国人常说，“四十不惑”。40年来，中马关系展现出蓬勃的活力和强劲的动力，步入了全面、稳定、务实的发展轨道。两国政治互信不断增乾双边贸易额突破千亿美元，人员往来连续4年超过250万人次，每年约有1.5万名留学生在对方国家学习。当年拉扎克总理表示，“马中建立起来的关系好比刚刚栽培的小树，保证这棵小树茁壮成长，是我们共同的任务”。我们高兴地看到，当年栽下的纤纤小树如今已长成参天大树，枝繁叶茂。
去年10月，习近平主席访问马来西亚期间，双方一致同意将中马关系提升为全面战略伙伴，两国关系进入了一个新的发展阶段。在中马建交40周年之际，纳吉布总理又率团来华进行“重温之旅”、“友好之旅”。再过一会儿，我和纳吉布总理将在这个具有历史意义的地方签署中马建交40周年联合公报，回顾中马关系发展历程，对未来加强两国各层级交往和深化各领域务实合作作出规划。相信在双方共同努力下，此访必将成为中马关系史上一座新的丰碑。
中马关系历经风雨和挑战，日臻成熟。马航客机失联事件发生后，中方同各方保持密切合作，始终没有停止搜寻工作，高度重视事件的调查和处理。中方愿与马方携手努力，继续全力搜寻马航失联客机，妥善处理相关后续事宜，使中马关系和友谊经得起考验。
女士们、先生们、朋友们：
中马关系40年的发展带给我们许多宝贵经验和启示，为双方未来深化合作打下了坚实根基。中方愿与马方一道，把两国互利合作与各自发展战略更加有机地结合起来，让进入不惑之年的中马关系不断收获累累硕果，更好造福两国人民。
——进一步提升战略互信，不断巩固两国关系的政治基础。坚持把推进中马关系放在各自外交政策的优先位置，加强在重大问题上的沟通与协调，实现两国关系长期稳定健康发展。
——进一步扩大互利合作，不断强化两国关系的利益纽带。务实合作是中马关系的关键词，也是两国关系持续发展的不竭动力。我们要继续大力推进经贸、投资、金融、教育、执法等交流与合作，提升各领域务实合作水平。
——进一步增进人文交流，不断拉近两国人民心与心之间的距离。鼓励两国民众频繁交流，加强理解，互相沟通，厚植传统友谊，共同浇灌出更加绚烂的中马友好之花。
——进一步加强区域合作，共同创造亚洲更加美好的未来。马来西亚是东盟重要成员，也是中国—东盟关系的开创者。明年马来西亚将担任东盟轮值主席国。中方愿同包括马来西亚在内的东盟国家密切合作，落实中国—东盟关系发展的政治共识，共同建设亚洲命运共同体、利益共同体和责任共同体。
回顾过去，我们对中马关系的发展感到欣慰。展望未来，我们对两国关系的前景充满信心。中方愿同马方共同努力，将中马关系带向更加成熟稳定、互利互信、繁荣发展的下一个40年。刚刚就在出席此次大会之前，我与纳吉布总理一起会见了中马两国青年代表，这表明中马关系和友谊是面向未来的。中马双方携手前行，一定能开创中马关系更加美好的明天！
