习近平强调，中方珍视同马来西亚友好关系，视马来西亚为可信赖的朋友和重要合作伙伴。双方要继续共同努力，抓住机遇，克服挑战，不断深化中马全面战略伙伴关系。希望双方保持高层互访，加强治国理政经验交流，推进基础设施建设和互联互通、航天、遥感卫星、金融等领域合作，搞好重点项目，带动双边贸易和投资合作迈上新台阶。双方还要加强执法安全和防务合作，共同打击恐怖主义、非法出入境、网络犯罪，扩大人文交流和青年交往。

习近平表示，马来西亚航空MH370航班失联至今已经近3个月时间，马方和澳大利亚等有关国家投入大量人力物力，开展客机搜寻和家属安抚等工作。希望马方抓紧协调有关国家，尽快制定完善常态化搜寻和善后方案，保持搜寻工作连续性，争取尽快找到飞机下落。
纳吉布表示，马航MH370航班失联是世界航空史上未曾有过的非常不幸的事件，马方将尽一切努力继续进行调查，直至找到事件真相和失联客机下落，这是马方对乘客家属的责任。马方将继续同中方及其他各方保持密切合作。
纳吉布表示，前段时间，一名中国女青年在马来西亚遭绑架，我对此高度重视。经过马方努力，这名中国女青年已经安全获释，马方近日将护送她回国。习近平对此表示感谢。
习近平强调，中方在南海问题上的立场是明确、一贯的。当前，南海形势总体稳定，但也出现一些值得关注的动向。中方珍视南海的和平稳定，不赞成把争议复杂化、扩大化、国际化。我们不会主动挑起事端，但对有关国家的挑衅行为要做出必要的反应。长期以来，中马两国保持良好沟通，始终围绕维护中马关系大局，妥善处理有关问题，为地区和平稳定作出了积极贡献。中马双方要共同努力，加强双边对话、沟通，推进海上合作和共同开发的办法，共同维护南海和平稳定。
习近平强调，中国的发展同周边国家发展相互促进。中国坚持与邻为善、以邻为伴的周边外交方针，提出了“亲、诚、惠、容”的周边外交理念，以及建设更为紧密的中国－东盟命运共同体、共同建设丝绸之路经济带和21世纪海上丝绸之路等一系列重大倡议。马来西亚是亚洲重要国家，也是海上丝绸之路支点国家。中方愿意同马方加强合作，为建设和平、繁荣、和谐的亚洲作出贡献。
纳吉布表示，东盟和中国相互依赖，彼此是好邻居、好朋友。双方要密切合作，共同致力于实现亚洲的和平、稳定、繁荣。关于南海问题，纳吉布表示，我赞同习近平主席上述主张，认为有关声索国应该通过直接沟通、对话，妥善处理分歧。马方愿积极参与建设21世纪海上丝绸之路和亚洲基础设施投资银行。明年马来西亚将担任东盟轮值主席国，愿为促进东盟－中国关系发展作出更大贡献。
