China connection， alluding to Chinese expression： to stop gossip to confuse

May 31, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Web site, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang's remarks on Japan at the Shangri-La dialogue, Abe, answering a reporter's question.

　　有记者问，据报道，5月30日，日本首相安倍晋三在香格里拉对话会上发表演讲称，某些国家试图以实力改变现状，各国在开展海洋活动时应摒弃强权逻辑，遵守国际法，通过和平方式解决争端。中方对此有何评论？

　　秦刚表示，我们注意到日本领导人最近不断发表影射别国的言论。事实上，日方应该向国际社会解释清楚它近来在军事安全领域的动向，在处理与邻国领土和海洋权益争议时切实遵守国际法和国际关系基本准则。我们希望日方正视历史，尊重事实，不要再搬弄是非，混淆视听，以实际行动做有利于地区和平稳定的事情。
