Yi Xianliang was quoted said that China hopes that Sino-Vietnamese relations have been developing well, but never give up the principle. China will continue its efforts to communicate with the Vietnamese side, and strive to properly deal with the current situation. China urges Vietnam to maintain based on overall bilateral relations and peace and stability in the South China Sea, respect China's sovereignty, sovereign rights and jurisdiction, immediately stop operating any form of interference on the Chinese side, withdraw all ships and personnel on site, make maritime peace will soon be restored, while cessation of fabrications and distortions, creating so-called "Xisha Islands dispute" words and deeds.
