Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi： China and 12 neighbouring countries resolved the land border problem

People's daily on June 21, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Web site, State Councilor Yang Jiechi today at the keynote speech on the opening of the third session of the world peace forum, stressed that the resolutely safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity of China, and will not bargain over their core interests, doesn't swallow the bitterness of undermining China's sovereignty, security and development interests. China is committed to peaceful methods in dealing with disputes associated with the country's territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests, with the greatest sincerity and patience, to promote dialogue and negotiation to solve the problem. Through friendly consultations, China and 12 of 14 neighbouring countries solve the land border issue. China stands for the East China Sea and South China Sea disputes should be determined by the parties directly concerned on the basis of respecting historical facts and international law, and resolved through friendly consultations and negotiations.
