Recently, 5G has become a hot topic. IMT-2020 (5G) Summit held recently, the 5G vision and requirements white paper also published; 2014 Asian mobile Expo, Bell Labs expert topic is 5G; a few days ago, the Ministry of Telecommunication Research Institute has issued a 5G engineer job posting. Did 5G really want to? Not so, according to 5G schedule, the earliest commercial deployment will be in 2020, experts predict large-scale 5G application in the year 2025.
But why 5G topics so hot?
I think mainly in three aspects, multiple organizations in promoting the development of 5G , such as the NGMN (next generation mobile network), the WWRF (wireless world Research Forum), the EU's METIS, United Kingdom 5GIC, Japan's 2020 & Beyond Ad Hoc, and Korea's 5G Forum, China's IMT-2020 (5G) and so on. In these organizations, driven by industry-Power, 5G, condensation, currently, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Huawei, Datang Telecom, China Mobile, such as DoCoMo, Alcatel-Lucent has issued a white paper on 5G and research reports.
Second, communication standards, businesses, hopes to become the standard controller.
