Under the agreement, the Beijing Municipal Government will become IBM China launched a 10-year "green horizon" project partners. The project aims to take advantage of IBM's predictive capability, as well as real-time emissions data collected, to predict the occurrence of haze.

China pledged to reduce the proportion of coal-fired power, so IBM's cloud computing analysis system optimized for renewable energy to be adjusted.

Insiders also believe that strengthen data analysis capacity will also help the environment of Beijing Municipal Government to take more effective measures. Representatives of IBM, "said green horizon" project will bring business opportunities in China's pollution control and renewable energy fields.

"Prism" impact of IBM's revenues in China has fallen sharply since last year.
