  有误读,老师很委屈


  去年8月,BBC播出纪录片《我们的孩子够强吗》,该片制作方邀请5名中国中学老师到英国汉普郡一所顶级中学,对该校的学生进行一个月的“中国式教学”,结果,中国老师明显“水土不服”,英国学生的不少举动让他们十分“抓狂”;而英国学生也无法适应高强度教学,被中国老师训哭。


  对此,全国人大代表、南京外国语学校教研室主任朱善萍表示,BBC的这部纪录片曲解了中国教学现状,“老师们看了片子觉得很委屈,这已经不是我们现在上课的状态,节目方设计的上课方式,还是多年前的风格。”


  美国从幼儿园开始


  就推广STEM教育了


  朱善萍并不否认英美教育的先进之处。今年寒假,她认真研究了美国麻省的教育课程,结果发现,美国在本世纪初就推出STEM项目了。STEM代表科学、技术、工程、数学。STEM教育就是培养学生的科技理工素养。

  建议打造STEM升级版


  在全国推广


  流行于外国校园的STEM课程,中国学生是否能适应呢?“当然能适应!现在的孩子多聪明啊。”朱善萍说,2015年,她所在的南京外国语学校申报了基于STEM理念的化学课程基地建设,可谓“STEM+”,在物理、化学、生物、生命科学等课程的基础上,又开设信息、艺术、戏剧、国学、礼仪等课程。


  具体做法是,在高一学生中,进行双向选择,学生可以选择自己感兴趣的领域,每周花半天时间,进入一流的大学、科研院所与大师们交流。时间为一年半至两年。五所高校的重点(国家)实验室、开放实验室、教学试验中心等,都会向参与此工程的学生开放。


  目前,该校基于STEM理念的化学课程基地已经建成。


  去年9月,江苏省青少年科技中心、江苏省科技教育协会和教育部基础教育实验室建设与实验教学研究中心签订合作框架协议,正式实施STEM课程,推进中小学教育创新,越来越多的STEM课程将进入江苏中小学校园。以机器人STEM课堂为例,涉及数学、电学、力学、仿生学、计算机技术、控制论、人工智能、机械工程设计等诸多领域。


  今年,江苏将在全省26所学校试点首批STEM教育项目,朱善萍建议,未来,可以将STEM+课程在全国推广。
