　　第三支赴利比里亚维和警察防暴队由山东公安边防总队组建，于2015年3月11日进驻任务。一年以来，他们面对埃博拉疫情反复威胁、治安局势复杂多变、生活条件异常艰苦等严峻考验，克服暴雨烈日、道路艰险、装备沉重和热带疾病威胁等困难，始终严守规则、规范操作，扎实履行各项授权任务，为维护利比里亚和平稳定发挥了重要作用。
　　过去的一年里，防暴队圆满完成了联利团格林维尔分部、油库、机场和营区7个固定哨位全天候24小时定点驻守、格林维尔机场巡逻、乌克兰飞行队夜间巡逻等勤务；成功执行利比里亚“国家独立日”安保、要人警卫、物资护运、路线勘察等重大勤务70余次，独立开展日常巡逻200余次，有力维护了辖区安全稳定。
　　据统计，防暴队遂行勤务量、巡逻里程量、信息采集量、应急反应速度、处突专业水平等5项综合行动能力评估指标在联利团8支防暴队中全部排名第一。联合国秘书长特别代表、联利团最高负责人法里德·扎里夫称赞中国防暴队是整个任务区“最好的典范”，联利团总警监格雷格·辛茨称赞防暴队是“警察系统的榜样”。去年12月1日，防暴队全体140名队员被联合国授予“和平勋章”。
　　鉴于中国第三支赴利比里亚维和警察防暴队的优异表现，经联合国总部批准，从今年3月开始，中国防暴队驻地将从原来位于地区的锡诺州格林维尔换防到利比里亚首都蒙罗维亚。届时，中国防暴队将成为联合国驻守在蒙罗维亚的唯一一支防暴队。
