参考消息网3月17日报道 外媒援引中国国家媒体新华社报道称，隶属于中国电子科技集团公司的第三十八研究所为新预警机空警-500设计了雷达平台和系统。
据美国《防务新闻》周刊网站3月14日报道，该研究所其实就是安徽省合肥市的华东电子工程研究所。它是中国电子科技集团公司羽翼之下的众多机构之一。华东电子工程研究所与总部在合肥的中国国家遥感中心的雷达部门密切合作。
