Gambia restored diplomatic relations with China admit that Taiwan is a part of China

　　央视新闻3月17日消息，外交部长王毅与冈比亚外长盖伊当天在北京签署《联合公报》，两国自当日起恢复大使级外交关系。

　　公报表示，根据两国人民的利益和愿望，为在《联合国宪章》宗旨和原则以及国际法准则基础上推动和加强两国友好合作关系，惠及两国人民，两国政府同意并决定自公报签署之日起恢复大使级外交关系。冈比亚政府承认世界上只有一个中国，中华人民共和国政府是代表全中国的唯一合法政府，台湾是中国领土不可分割的一部分。

　　据新华社资料，冈比亚西邻大西洋，北、东、南三面被塞内加尔紧紧包围，国土面积约为10380平方公里，冈比亚共和国是非洲大陆最小的国家。

　　中国与冈比亚曾于1974年12月14日建交。1995年7月13日，冈政府和台湾当局恢复所谓“外交关系”，同年7月25日，中国宣布中止同冈比亚的外交关系。2013年11月14日，冈比亚宣布同台湾“断交”。同年11月18日，台湾当局宣布自当日起终止台冈“外交关系”。
