“吸毒市长”的忏悔：毒品诱惑下走向另类人生

　　1972年出生的龚卫国履职临湘市市长之前，先后在湖南省人事厅、岳阳市多个区县和市直部门工作。临湘当地干部曾评价其“工作能力还行”。

　　从“大有前途”的年轻市长到被开除党籍、公职，甚至进入司法程序。龚卫国说自己“每天闭门思过，寝食不安，思前想后，悔恨终身。”

　　“早知今日，何必当初！”分析自身成为“吸食毒品、包养情人、收受巨额贿赂、滥用职权，走向犯罪道路，沦为阶下囚”的原因，龚卫国认为首要的是“思想上放松改造，贪欲逐渐膨胀，一步步把自己推向了犯罪不归路。”

　　在忏悔录中，龚卫国这样写到：

　　——贪权，权力是把双刃剑。我把权力看得太重，开会一言堂，工作一挥手，典型的家长作风，认为自己的一亩三分地谁也不许侵犯，听不进意见、放不下架子，摆不正位置。如果当初多请示汇报，多和同事沟通交流，多和下级换位思考，也许是另外一个局面。

　　——贪钱，钱是杀人不见血的刀。爱财却取之无道，贪得无厌。从小额红包礼金到大额贿赂的收取，明知是大额贿赂却只是假装推辞而照单全收，把市场经济等价交换原则带到了行政领域，成了十足的贪官。

　　——贪色，万恶淫为首。我从找小姐到发展多名情人，乱搞两性关系，道德败坏、生活腐化，严重败坏了党和政府的形象。

　　——贪玩，玩物丧志。人要有好伴，树要有好林。自从我认识一老板后就一而再地吸食毒品，刚开始带着好奇，后来把它当成了解酒释压的良方，一发不可收拾，最终吸坏了身体、吸垮了家庭，吸毁了前途，在毒品的诱惑下走向另类人生。

　　“我漠视法律，对法律没有敬畏之心，放纵自我，作风败坏”。龚卫国说自己学法不勤应付为主，守法不够淡漠法律，执法不严滥用职权，自律不严作风败坏，工作马虎敷衍草率，是不撞南墙不回头，不见黄河不死心。

　　在忏悔录的最后，龚卫国感概，一个人最大的悲哀是拥有自由而不珍惜自由，一个人最大的痛苦是想拥有自由而没有自由。自己深知犯下的严重错误，诚心认罪，更加积极配合检察机关彻底交待自己的犯罪事实，争取组织和人民的包容和宽大。
