  中国女乘客李维(化名)近日在维珍航班上遭遇种族歧视和不公待遇一事引发国内舆论关注,《环球时报》记者17日就此事进行了跟踪采访。


  李维日前在社交网站上发表文章,讲述了她3月1日搭乘维珍航空VS250次由伦敦飞往上海航班时的这段遭遇。李维称,当日刚刚登机正弯腰在座位上找耳机时,一名白人男子突然莫名其妙地走向她,用手指着她鼻子恶狠狠地骂她是“中国猪”,让她“滚出去”。其间,维珍航空的空服人员没有加以制止,一名叫Nathan Smith的空少之后过来与这名白人男子小声交谈后,反而大声呵斥李维“不要吵架”,要“尊重其他乘客”,否则就把她赶下“飞机”。


  当天在同一航班的吴小姐向《环球时报》记者证实了她亲眼目睹白人男子对李维恶语相向的情形,也确实听到空乘让李维冷静,不然可能让她下飞机的话。吴小姐称,她和朋友就坐在李维身后靠右的位置,当时情况“挺可怕的”。


  李维称,那名白人男子自称患有精神病,她曾在入境时向浦东机场边检站举报该男子精神有问题,有暴力倾向并威胁他人,疑似携带违禁药品,要求边检帮助检查。然而边检方面给出的回应却是“只要外国人有护照和签证,他们就管不了”。浦东机场边检站17日接受《环球时报》记者电话采访时表示,上海边检总站已就此事回复当事人,不接受电话采访。


  李维认为,边检方面的回复是“冠冕堂皇的推卸责任”。说起飞机上那名自称患有精神病的白人男子,目击者吴小姐表示“看起来就是一个很凶的普通人”“不像精神病,感觉像借口”。


  维珍航空对此事是否知情?是否采取了相应措施?维珍航空上海办事处17日在邮件中向记者表示:“维珍航空非常重视近期在我们航班上所发生的事件,并正在彻查此事。乘客的安全和健康始终是我们最优先的考虑,我们会继续与该乘客保持畅通的沟通,确保此事能得到妥善解决。”该内容与维珍航空英国总部17日凌晨回复《环球时报》记者的采访邮件完全一致。


  李维称,涉事空少Nathan Smith的名字是她临下飞机前向其他英国空乘要的,对方先是表示不知该空少姓名,后在她的坚持下经几人商量后勉强告诉她名字。《环球时报》记者通过LinkedIn网站查询到名为Nathan Smith的个人主页,资料显示他供职于维珍航空澳洲地区。李维看过资料照片后表示,飞机上的空少不是此人,空乘给出的名字可能是假的。为此,《环球时报》记者又联系了维珍航空澳洲地区新闻编辑室,对方表示不知道此事,正在了解情况。


  中国乘客以后遇到这种情况该如何维权?中国政法大学航空与空间法研究中心研究员张起淮17日对《环球时报》记者表示,所有在中国运营的外国航空公司都与中方签订过遵守国际民航组织规章规定和中国法律的承诺书,此事件中的乘客可以对维珍提供的服务和涉事空少提起诉讼,或者向国家民航局相关部门进行投诉。▲(来源:环球时报)
