郭德英告诉记者,从眼前来看,VR开始流行,FHD的颗粒感很强,现有的很多硬件计算能力不足,不能很好支持VR。另一方面,功耗仍是手机处理器的痛点。从这个层面上看,曦力X20在这些问题上都进行了很好的改良。但朱大林认为,从市场来看,厂商和消费者的消费心理并不容易改变,联发科定位中低端、高通定位中高端的品牌形象相对固化,冲击高端市场依然困难

2015年,联发科营收2132.55亿元新台币(约为421.61亿元人民币),同比增长近0.1%。几乎停滞的收入增长,使联发科在品牌和收入上,不得不选择收入。

朱大林称,面临智能手机增长乏力,除了在下行市场环境中审慎维护营收,在新兴市场寻找新的增长点是芯片厂商的普遍选择。“物联网市场的芯片厂商也屈指可数,很多硬件厂商由手机转型过来,联发科会有一定的市场份额,但冲高依然困难”。

联发科芯片未来技术布局的趋势主要围绕深度学习、虚拟现实和5G三个方面。朱尚祖介绍,X20芯片目前具备通过声音和图像认知来进行身份识别的深度学习功能。他认为,未来智能手机演化方向是全能手机,VR产品会逐渐提升性能并普及。

接下来的产品不管是手机还是其他,都会提升图形处理和软件的优化来符合下一代VR的需求,我们会持续投入”。在5G方面,朱尚祖表示目前已经和日本电信运营商NTT DOCOMO合作,争取并在5G商用时第一时间推出相关产品
