　　中国地震台网中心研究员孙士鈜告诉新京报记者，张家口在1998年1月10日就曾发生过6.2级地震，此次地震可能是渤海到张家口之间的地震带引发，这一条地震带近几十年来有一定的活动，但总体来说，京津唐张地区比较稳定，地震带活动强度不高，对北京影响也不大。

　　孙士鈜称，首都圈地区很长时间内没有发生过较大的地震，此次地震3级左右的强度远远不会对房屋和建设造成影响，居民不用因此而感到恐慌。
