据介绍，通过现场初步分类，确定收集到的630块陨石中可能包括橄辉无球粒陨石、玄武岩质无球粒陨石、橄榄陨铁、3型普通球粒陨石和碳质球粒陨石等特殊类型陨石约10块。同时，此次科考还首次通过多旋翼无人机航拍方式，观测冰流方向、探路和寻找碎石带分布区，为陨石寻找工作提供参考。
