　　而位于阿根廷的深空站，便是中国深空网的重要组成部分。中国已经分别在喀什、佳木斯建设了深空站，这两个深空站充分利用了我国地域上的东西宽度，但仍不能实现全天24小时对航天器的覆盖，要保证连续的通信还得在中国背面的美洲建一个站。据此前俄罗斯“卫星”网报道，中方卫星跟踪站将建在阿根廷南部省份内乌肯，该项目占地约200公顷。阿根廷的巴塔哥尼亚地区对于航天设施来说是一个理想的地点，因为这一地区相对平坦和偏僻，电磁环境相对干净，对人类活动影响也小，而且有公路和光纤相连，便于通信联络。

　　中国没必要在地球另一边监控他国卫星

　　一名不愿透露姓名的中国军事专家对《环球时报》记者表示，所谓军事用途完全是一些人别有用心的臆断。经常有人拿中国航天活动由军方负责来说事，据此不分青红皂白地给中国的任何一项航天活动打上“军事目的”烙印。而此次在阿根廷的深空站由非军方人士操作，一些人则臆断其大型天线可以接收别国卫星信号。实际上，如果是用于接收别国卫星信号，完全没必要跑到南美去建站，在本国领土上或者发射专门的卫星更简单些。

　　这名专家认为，对于航天大国来说，在别国建设航天测控站本来是一件很平常的事，美俄、欧洲都在别国建有航天测控站，也没见外媒炒作军事用途。另外中国在国外也并非仅在阿根廷建设有航天测控站，中国在阿根廷建站的相关信息也早已经披露，现在专门拿来说事，恐怕也是想给阿根廷新任总统和中国的航天测控站建设“出难题”。
