在首尔某私立大学就读的中国留学生温某（27岁），到韩国留学已经一年多。但无论是在各种学校活动还是学生聚会上，都看不到她的身影。温某表示，“一开始以为自己韩语水平差因此韩国同学和我沟通有困难，但一年后仍不见改变，我才意识到中韩学生之间似乎存在某种看不见的隔阂”。温某焦虑地表示，照此下去，没准自己来韩国留学几年也交不了几个韩国朋友，很有可能还是在中国留学生圈中打转。26岁的韩国大学生崔某则表示，自己本学期的主要任务就是获取学分，如果和中国留学生分在一组，中国学生会以外语水平不行为由将教授布置的课题推给自己来做，这样自己会比较吃力。
韩国法务部18日发布的最新统计数据显示，目前在韩国的外国留学生呈飞速增长态势，从2000年的4015名增长到2015年底的9.6357万名，今年很有可能突破10万大关。其中，中国留学生占总数近六成。由此也使得中韩大学生之间摩擦不断。本月初，首尔某大学，一名中国留学生因为在学校图书馆声音较大，听到了韩国同学“中国人都这样”的指责，此后该留学生被禁止使用图书馆。该中国学生表示：“虽然自己找到图书馆方面保证不会再发生类似事情才被解禁，但自己心里的受辱感一直挥之不去”。
