　　台大19日召开校务会议，针对东南亚“海外推荐”招生提出具体方案。台大教务长郭鸿基表示，过去台大在海外招收侨生，都只有“海外联招”单一管道，但由于期程较晚，导致每年200多个名额，会有40多人考上却不报到。

　　有鉴于此，台大近年采取“海外推荐”的模式，由东南亚的马来西亚、印度尼西亚、新加坡等国的中学校长写推荐函推荐优秀学生，再由各系所筛选，期程亦提前在12月至来年1月，马来西亚独立中学推荐甚至前一年的8月就开跑。

　　台科大校长廖庆荣强调，希望台当局能够让来台念书的东南亚学生，在毕业后至少留下来2至3年，先进入台湾企业，再派驻东南亚，协助台商开拓东南亚市场，为台湾所用。
