腾讯董事会主席兼首席执行官马化腾在业绩记者会上表示，微信第三方支付平台从本月开始提款收费后，亏损情况已经受控。
3月17日傍晚，腾讯控股公布2015年四季度及全年财报显示，通过微信支付进行的C2C（用户对用户）支付交易产生的相关银行手续费（主要是转账）大幅增加，仅2016年1月的费用就超过3亿元（已扣除向用户收取的相关收入后的净额）。
腾讯称，由于C2C转账银行手续费，较多的分成及内容成本、渠道成本等原因，导致公司2015年全年收入成本增加了35%达到416.31亿元，2015年第四季度的收入成本同比增长52%至126.61亿元。
腾讯还强调，2015年四季度“其他业务”收入成本同比增长153%，主要是由于C2C转账银行手续费增加。
全国人大代表马化腾在两会媒体见面会上曾表示，“只要资金从银行转出，银行就会收取千分之一的手续费，而随着微信红包、转账数量的极速增加，这些成本完全由第三方平台承受，并不合理。现在，我们也在和银行进行洽谈，看能否取消短期资金流转的费用，但目前银行还没有同意。”马化腾同时还表示，哪怕资金沉淀会产生利息，但这些利息远远不足以抵消转账带来的成本激增。
