中国驻老挝大使馆官员24日告诉《环球时报》记者，枪击事件发生后，使馆方面启动应急机制，并向老挝警方和医院核实相关情况。伤者已在第一时间转到万象市的一家医院接受救治，使馆代办和领事官员也都前往医院进行探望，并通过使馆渠道向老方强调，一定要选派优秀的医护人员对伤者进行救治。
