为证实该男子所售工具是否有假、非法，记者挑选了一套能开6个品牌汽车车门的“不锈钢快手”(新款实用版)。通过支付宝和微信红包付款198元后，当天下午，法制晚报(微信ID：fzwb_52165216)记者很快接到了湖南一名男子的电话，他告诉记者，快递马上发往北京，预计三天左右到货。
三天后，记者收到了德邦物流的快递，打开后发现，正是记者购买的开锁工具。
拆开快递包装后，记者见到了一个类似普通眼镜盒形状的塑料盒子，盒子包装上注明了“不锈钢快手”，同时还贴有6个汽车品牌，意味着这套工具可以开启的汽车锁品牌。而包装上完全没有厂家地址等基本信息。
打开盒子后记者看到，内装13把不锈钢直板工具和一把外形类似镊子的工具，共计14件。每个工具上的齿状都不相同，为了便于操作，直板一端还被装上了橡胶手柄。
在丰台区修理行业职业技能培训学校，记者找到了对应品牌的汽车锁芯，并请专业师傅实验。最初，将锁芯拿在手里，插入这套工具后并没有打开。随后，将锁芯固定后，按照朋友圈里的教程，锁芯很快转动，汽车锁被成功打开。
实验了几次，整个开锁过程用时最长的也就1分钟，最短仅需5秒。
