新华社南昌3月27日专电 (记者胡锦武) 记者从江西省纪委获悉，九江市自今年2月开展党员干部参与赌博问题专项治理工作以来，已查实党员、干部参赌涉赌人员48人，其中科级以上干部4人；给予党纪政纪处分30人，按要求免去了16人相应职务。
2月17日，九江市武宁县鲁溪镇规划所原所长葛关根、官莲乡东山村党支部原书记彭仁训、村民委员会原主任雷云财与1名社会人员在县城某酒店以打麻将形式进行赌博。彭仁训、雷云财分别受到党内严重警告处分，葛关根受到行政记过处分，3人均被免职。
这起案例仅仅是近日九江市纪委通报的多起党员干部参赌涉赌案例之一。
为治理极少数党员干部参赌涉赌甚至为赌博提供“保护伞”的问题，九江将发动群众进行检举揭发，敦促参赌人员主动交代，自觉戒赌；同时通过加强干部日常教育，引导党员干部带头禁赌拒赌，主动劝阻、制止赌博行为；对于顶风违纪参赌涉赌的干部，将一律先免职再严肃处理。
