It was reported that Hong Kong in 2016 and 2017 will face two major elections. 　　国际在线消息（记者 丁一鸣）：香港特别行政区政府政制及内地事务局局长谭志源5日在立法会透露，第五届行政长官选举定于2017年3月26日举行。

　　谭志源：“选（举）管（理委员）会刚刚在4月1号完成了有关选举指引的公众咨询，我们预计选管会将在6月底公布指引。另外，选举事务处也会在这个月（4月）的政制事务委员会上汇报立法会换届选举的实务安排和宣传计划。选举界别分组委员会选举将在今年12月11号举行。第五届行政长官选举会在明年3月26号举行。”

　　据报道，香港2016年和2017年将会面临两项重大选举活动。2016年9月4日将举行第六届立法会选举，包括间接选举的功能组别35席和直接选举的35席，总共70个席位面临投票。而2017年举行的特首选举，由于政制改革方案在2015年遭到否决，因此将会维持原有选举方法，即由1200人组成的选举委员会投票选出。根据《基本法》，特首参选人需要满足中国公民、香港永久居民、没有外国居留权、年满40周岁以及在香港通常居住连续满20年这五个条件。
