　　这24名大学生，6人来自武汉高校，其余均为西安高校学生。4日晚间，他们在穿越鳌太线路中，到达水窝子营地时遭遇极端天气，山上雨雪交加，而补给的口粮供给也仅够维持一天。情急之下，他们发出求助信号，并希望能在原路返回时得到救援组织的下撤建议。

　　由于接到求助时天色已晚，再加上天气恶劣，救援组织在确保24名大学生安全的前提下，于5日早晨展开救援行动。经过十几个小时的徒步行走，当晚7时许，救援队终于见到这24名大学生。除1名女队员脚部扭伤外，其他人均无大碍。晚上8时，所有人被安全护送到23公里管护站。

　　据了解，秦岭穿越是中国十大艰险户外线路之一，鳌山穿越太白更是秦岭穿越第一顶级线路。鳌山——太白两山之间的直线距离为40多公里，穿越行程在150公里以上。整个穿越中，海拔高度由起点太白县的740米，一路上升至鳌山标志塔3475米，再经太白梁3523米，最终到太白山主峰拔仙台3767米。

　　资料显示，这条线路穿越的难点，不仅在于需要长时间穿越无人区且得不到补给，途中需翻越海拔在3400米以上的高海拔山峰多达十几座，且气候多变、路况复杂，整个穿越过程大都行走在冰川遗迹形成的石海之间，遇到恶劣天气就十分危险。

　　此次遇险的大学生，正是计划经鳌山穿越太白。他们从唐口进山，走到水窝子营地时遇到降雪天气，积雪厚度达到1米左右，导致行进道路异常艰难。
