据悉，NVIDIA IRAY是一种高度互动而直观的物理效果渲染技术，可通过模拟光线与材质的物理学行为来生成照片般逼真的影像。不同于传统的制作渲染器，Iray可产生反映现实世界行为的结果。设计师并不需要具备计算机图形技术的专家级知识，即可快速取得照片般逼真的结果。Iray会渐进地改善其图像直到达到完美状态为止，从互动编辑到最终帧画面，它能够提供始终如一的结果。它是一种可预测性很强的方法，与NVIDIA GPU可扩展的世界级性能相得益彰，能够提供不断的反馈以及快速得出结果。如此一来便大幅缩短了制作出完美场景和照片级图像所需的时间。
