今日(4月7日)上午，通辽市中级人民法院新闻发言人李凤玉接受新京报记者采访时称，4月6日上午，通辽市中级人民法院刑一庭庭长米建军从其7楼办公室坠落身亡，事件还在一进步调查当中。
通辽市中级人民法院宣传科工作人员称，初步了解，米建军今年55岁左右，家中有一个儿子，现已参加工作。6日早晨，米建军从通辽市中级人民法院家属楼来到法院，随后，从其7楼办公室坠亡，具体原因不详，公安已介入调查。
通辽市120急救中心工作人员说：“我们7点多赶到现场后发现坠楼者已死亡，没有拉回医院。”
通辽市殡仪馆工作人员证实，6日上午10时许，米建军的遗体被送到该殡仪馆。
