　　中新网襄阳4月7日电(姬栋)6日下午，湖北襄阳新207国道襄城区欧庙镇庞岗村路段，发生5车连环相撞追尾事故，造成3人遇难。

　　据介绍，事故车辆为4辆货车，一辆小轿车，均受损严重。小轿车被压在一台货车下，车体严重变形。

　　事故造成货车上1人和小轿车后排2人被困。3人被救出送医后，均不治身亡。知情者透露，小轿车上两名遇难者为一对夫妻。

　　当时襄阳阴雨绵绵，事故造成交通拥堵，交警立即封闭现场，对过往车辆进行分流。

　　至下午6时20分许，救援工作基本完成。事故原因正在调查中。(完)
