　　维克拉马辛哈表示，斯中两国政治、经济、文化联系源远流长，发展真诚互助、世代友好的战略合作伙伴关系符合两国根本利益，也是斯各党派共识。斯方赞 赏中国在促进全球经济稳定和增长方面的积极作用，感谢中国长期以来给予斯里兰卡的帮助和支持，愿积极参与中方提出的“一带一路”倡议，进一步加强在港口、 机场等基础设施建设、贸易投资、交通、科技等领域合作，促进文化交流与人员往来，造福两国人民。斯方愿加强同中方在南盟等框架内的合作。
