Foreign Media: China is expected to cross the "middle-income trap"
Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, April 9 (reporter Yu Jia)-under the background of the economy into a new normal, China can manage across the "middle-income trap" into the ranks of high-income countries, was a hot topic. In this regard, the foreign media have said, China will meet the "middle-income trap" challenge and leap.
Foreign media tend to feel that China is in the middle to high income economy in critical period of development, facing across the "middle-income trap" challenge, currently being implemented by the "Internet +" strategy, supply side reform and a new "Thirteen-Five" initiatives such as the plan will stimulate the economy of the new engine, and help China's economy leaps.
As pointed out by some foreign media, and across the "middle-income trap" has not been easy. Germany published an article in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung said that after years of rapid growth, China is facing the "middle-income trap" challenge. 外媒:中国有望跨越“中等收入陷阱”
新华社北京4月9日电(记者于嘉)在经济进入新常态的大背景下,中国能否成功跨越“中等收入陷阱”进入高收入国家行列,是多方关注的热门话题。对此,外媒纷纷表示,中国将迎接“中等收入陷阱”挑战并实现跨越。

  外媒大多认为,中国正处于从中等收入向高收入经济体发展的关键时期,面临跨越“中等收入陷阱”的挑战,而目前正在实施的“互联网+”战略、供给侧改革和新近出台的“十三五”规划等举措将激发经济新引擎,并助力中国经济实现跨越。

  正如一些外媒所指出的,跨越“中等收入陷阱”并非易事。德国《法兰克福汇报》刊文称,经过多年的快速增长,中国正面临“中等收入陷阱”的挑战。澳大利亚东亚论坛网站评论称,中国当前面临提高收入水平的挑战,加入高收入国家行列没有捷径可走。

  尽管面临困难,中国直面问题并迎接挑战的努力和举措也得到了外媒的关注和赞誉。有舆论指出,中国完全有可能跨越“中等收入陷阱”。新加坡《海峡时报》引述经济学家林毅夫的分析说,作为发展中国家,中国韧性强、潜力足、回旋余地大、可用政策空间多,完全有可能维持6.5%以上的经济增速并成为一个高收入国家。香港《南华早报》网站援引瑞银中国首席经济学家汪涛的话说,即便年增速只有4%,中国仍可在十年内成为高收入国家并完全避开“中等收入陷阱”。

  有外媒认为,一系列相关政策的出台和实施将激发新的增长引擎。美国《外交政策》双月刊网站说,中国最新的五年规划将对经济进行再平衡,构筑一条通往持久增加国民财富的道路。中国倡导“互联网+”的举措着眼于以电子商务和在线服务为基础,正在打造充满活力的数字经济。另外,“十三五”规划寄希望于服务业大量创造就业岗位并吸纳新增就业人员。

  新加坡国立大学东亚研究所所长郑永年在《联合早报》上撰文说,中国希望通过供给侧改革规避“中等收入陷阱”,并推动国家进入高收入社会。

  德国《世界报》网站报道说,为避免陷入“中等收入陷阱”,中国正努力通过新引擎带动经济发展,未来中国经济将在消费、服务业、高科技和创新的推动下发展。报道还提到,中国继续致力于开展大型基础设施建设以刺激经济和就业,通过减税促进更多创新企业、服务商和新兴企业的发展,并加大对科研开发的投入。

  外媒建议中国通过建章立制、完善市场、提高创新能力和生产率等举措,实现跨越“中等收入陷阱”的目标。《南华早报》网站指出,能否避开“中等收入陷阱”,关键要看经济体在创新以及提高生产率和效率方面的能力。

  《联合早报》网站的文章分析称,要实现长期可持续增长,中央政策环境是关键。文章指出,亚洲那些成功跨越“中等收入陷阱”的经济体,在经济发展的每一个环节都能提供有效的中央政策环境。
