新京报(微信ID：bjnews_xjb)记者了解到，卧铺客车隶属于黄冈博运汽车贸易有限责任公司，车上乘客多自陕西西安出发前往山东威海看房，目前交警部门仍在进行事故原因调查。
目击者：大货车车头被撞碎
今日中午，目击者顾先生告诉新京报(微信ID：bjnews_xjb)记者，事发时，他与2个同事正驾驶私家车赶往平度，被堵在距事发现场约500米的位置，“晚上有一点雾，能见度大概有200米左右，早晨才起的大雾，”直到上午8时许现场清理完毕才顺利通行。
“我步行到现场，看到一辆深色大货车被撞横过来了，另有一辆大货车车头撞碎了。”顾先生称，自己发现无法前行后，下车步行前往现场，发现大货车车载的瓷砖遭撞击后，大量碎片塞进了绿色大客车的车头，“现场场面比较血腥，我帮忙扒了一下瓷砖，好像听到瓷砖下面还有声音。”
他称，抵达现场时救护车已经拉走了部分伤者，此外现场还有疑似尸体被布盖着，此后有交警部门拉开了警戒线，要求围观者撤离现场。
顾先生微博发布的图片显示，涉事的绿色大客车车牌号为鄂J00087，车头左前侧已经被撞得粉碎，露出内部的双层卧铺结构，客车车头和车尾部有看房热线、山东威海等字样，事故现场则散落着大量瓷砖碎片。
涉事车辆来自湖北黄冈
青岛市公安局交通警察支队官方微博通报此事称，今日凌晨1时许，在沈海高速北向南方向618KM+900M处发生一辆长途卧铺客车与两辆货车相撞的交通事故，造成8人死亡，17人受伤(其中1人重伤，16人轻微伤)。事故现场处置工作已结束，事故调查及善后处置等工作正在进行中。
新京报(微信ID：bjnews_xjb)记者从黄冈市交警部门获悉，鄂J00087属于黄冈博运汽车贸易有限责任公司，系公路客运大型卧铺客车，核定载客39人，目前，交警部门正在核查此事。
工商资料显示，黄冈博运汽车贸易有限责任公司成立于2015年1月21日，法人代表为涂建兵，注资6万元，经营汽车及零配件批发兼零售，汽车信息咨询服务，代理申请各项机动车登记和业务，以及汽车销售和汽车租赁等业务，目前为存续状态。
新京报记者从胶州市医疗部门了解到，上述伤者被送往胶州市人民医院和胶州中心医院，胶州中心医院收治伤者7名。
据山东当地媒体报道，胶州市中心医院收治的伤员中有人仍在昏迷，此外多名伤者自述，自己从陕西省西安市上车，乘坐该车赴威海市乳山看商品房，原计划今日抵达威海。事发时大多只听到“砰”的一声，随后即被送医抢救。
