通报称，之后几天，民警经与山场承包人了解情况并调查走访附近村民，最终找到了两名目击者，并在汤河口镇大黄塘村找到了放生蓝狐和貉的地点，确定了这些蓝狐和貉为人为放生。
一位动物保护爱好者告诉记者，放生狐狸一般不是动保组织的行为，而更有可能是信仰佛教的“放生团”所为。
记者昨天从数位村民口中获悉，一位姓彭的老板被怀疑是放生狐狸的人。汤河口森林公安派出所称，他们也正在找这位彭老板。
