中国驻阿使馆发布新闻公报说，4名船员均通过当地律师就渔船被阿根廷海警击沉事件向法院作了陈述，法院在对有关陈述和阿海警提供的现场视频等证据进行研究后做出了上述决定。
3月14日，“鲁烟远渔010号”中国远洋渔船在阿根廷丘布特省附近南大西洋海域遭阿海岸警卫队枪击后沉没，船上共载有32名船员，除4名船员被阿海警救起并扣押外，其余28人被附近一艘中国渔船救起，无人伤亡。
