　　第十二研究院院长薛惠锋介绍，十二院是在原航天707所、710所等单位基础上成立的，成立后将成为航天领域的智库，肩负起将航天研究方法、航天领先技术等向国民经济各领域转化应用的任务。

　　薛惠锋说，十二院将与有关部门合作，共同建立“钱学森数据推进实验室”，建立集数据分析、挖掘、集成、融合等为一体的推动平台，提升我国数据科学应用能力，并将其应用于国民经济各领域，服务国家战略。
