Department of Defense responses in Scarborough reef-building and deployment of military facilities

国防部回应是否在黄岩岛开展岛礁建设及部署军事设施
人民网北京4月28日电（邱越）今天下午，国防部召开例行记者会。针对中国是否有在黄岩岛开展岛礁建设和部署军事设施的计划，国防部新闻局副局长、国防部新闻发言人吴谦上校表示，黄岩岛是中国固有领土，中国有权采取措施维护主权和安全，应对各种威胁。

　　记者：近日有媒体报道称，中国将于今年晚些时候在南海黄岩岛展开填海造岛工程，中国是否有在黄岩岛开展岛礁建设的计划？

　　吴谦：关于第一个问题。你说的情况我不了解，我想是一些媒体在炒作。但需要明确指出的是，黄岩岛是中国固有领土。中国有权采取措施维护主权和安全，应对各种威胁。
