王毅表示，在未来两年担任亚信主席国的任期中，中方愿同各方一道努力，加强团结互信，深化利益融合；开展务实合作，提振各方信心；推进能力建设，探索发展方向；坚持开放包容，扩大对外交往。

与会各国代表高度评价习近平主席在会议开幕式讲话中提出构建具有亚洲特色的安全治理模式，充分肯定中国“一带一路”倡议对于地区发展和稳定的重要意义，赞赏中方为推动亚信发展发挥的积极作用。
各国代表认为，亚洲面临大量传统和非传统安全威胁和挑战，恐怖主义趋于突出，叙利亚、乌克兰、朝鲜半岛核等热点问题急待解决。近年来，亚信为促进各国对话，增进互信，维护地区和平稳定发挥了重要作用。各国应进一步利用好亚信平台，践行亚洲安全观，增进对话合作，共同应对各类安全挑战，标本兼治，维护地区和世界的和平安全，促进共同发展。
