目前在台湾地区,最受欢迎的日本白色家电品牌是松下,其次是日立。从销售收入来看,夏普和日立仍有着不小的差距。在台湾市场,富士康计划让夏普尽快缩小和松下、日立之间的差距。

富士康集团和郭台铭收购夏普,最看重的是液晶面板资产,未来富士康将会和夏普共同开发OLED屏幕,争抢苹果手机屏幕的订单。另外,富士康正在台湾和大陆地区建设三座液晶面板工厂,夏普优秀的液晶技术,也会注入到这些项目当中。

夏普也是中国消费者熟知的家用电器品牌。近年来,在中国家电企业的竞争下,日本家电企业境况不佳,其中包括三洋电器、日本东芝的白色家电业务都已经被中国公司收购,夏普的家电业务目前也处于困境当中。

据报道,富士康准备把夏普的部分家电制造业务转移到中国大陆,以便发挥出低成本优势和富士康集团的协同效应,另外富士康也会和夏普进行合作,共同开发出更有市场前景的家用电器。

富士康一共出资35亿美元,获得了夏普三分之二的股权,不过夏普仍然会保持独立运营。
