今天（30日）下午，国务院总理李克强在中南海紫光阁会见岸田文雄。这是日本外长4年来首次与中国国务院总理举行会晤。日本外长与中国国务院总理的上一次会谈要追溯到5年前的2011年在北京。
今天是“五一”小长假放假的第一天，参加总理报道活动多年的时政记者注意到，李克强总理很少利用假期时间会见外宾。去年5月份的时候，美国国务卿克里访华，李克强总理也是利用了周末休息时间与他进行了一场会晤。
和上次不同的是，今天李克强是会见了日本外长，可见中美、中日关系都非常重要。因此，在外交的礼宾上，才会做出这样一种特殊的安排。
会谈一开始，李克强首先对岸田外长访华表示欢迎。他再次代表中国政府对前不久在日本熊本县发生的地震灾害造成的人员伤亡表示慰问。李克强说，中国和日本是近邻，两国之间建立一个长期稳定健康的发展关系对两国都有利。去年，中日韩领导人会晤得以恢复，主要是因为中日关系出现了改善的势头。但是，基础还不牢固，希望保持向好势头，使中日关系回到正常发展的轨道。李克强表示，相信此访有利于增进中日两国政治互信。
今天可以说是，日本外长岸田文雄访华最重要的一天，全天贯穿了三场重要的与中方高层领导人的会晤。
今天上午，在曾经举行“六方会谈”的钓鱼台国宾馆，中日两国外长举行了会谈。下午，杨洁篪国务委员在中南海会见了岸田文雄。在与李克强总理的会见之后，明天一早，岸田文雄将结束对我国的正式访问，启程前往泰国，未来几天他还将访问泰国、缅甸、老挝和越南。
一天之内，中国国务院总理李克强、国务委员杨洁篪、外交部长王毅分别会见日本外相岸田文雄，中国国际问题研究所研究员杨希雨指出，中方的高规格接待传递了中方对于改善中日关系的诚意。各行的交流中外交部门是最讲规格讲对等的，日本外相这次来访能够受到国委乃至总理的会见，充分表明中国政府从高层下决心要改善中日关系。但关键是球现在不在我们脚下，在日本脚下，就要看日本现在把球往哪儿踢，如果朝正确的方向踢，中日间积极的互动就会再次启动。所以能不能改善还得看日本。
杨希雨说，现在中日之间的矛盾和分歧可以归结为两个旧问题一个新问题。两个旧问题就是曾经被双方搁置的钓鱼岛的争论和分歧让日本人挑起来了，而且是更肆无忌惮地搞所谓“国有化”。再一个是安倍首相执政以来，在历史问题上变本加厉，修宪问题，引起历史和现实的联想，日本到底要向何处去。现在又冒出一个新问题，日本最近把东海和 南海两个完全不相干的问题联系在一起，似乎要构成东海、南海的反华联合战线。这样的新问题使得原本就冰冷的中日关系更加复杂了。这三个问题造成中日关系目前的低谷，如果要挽回低谷，日本在这三个问题上应该按照中日达成的四个文件的共识迈出第一步。我相信日方只要回到四个文件的基础上，迈出第一步，中日关系的恢复一定会有希望的。
