这位乘坐629路的网友讲述了事情的大致经过：4月29日下午4点半左右，629路和652路两辆公交车驶出车站不久，不知因为什么，先是并排停在主路上，尽管信号灯已经变绿，两位司机还是互不相让地争吵。再次启动后，652路车速很快，没过多久两车就撞到了一起。“我坐在后面倒数第三排，车厢里大概有30多名乘客，前面有不少人站着。突然撞车后，后座靠近玻璃位置上的乘客受伤比较重，都是被碎玻璃划伤的。”
当时乘坐652路、站在车厢中后部靠近窗户的孟小姐，则目睹了全过程。她说，两车并排停在路上，靠得很近。629路司机打开前车门，俩司机从争吵渐渐升级为隔空对骂，吵架的缘由大概是因为652路的停车问题。
“听到629路司机喊了一句‘你看你停的这是什么车’，俩司机带着脏字骂了有一分多钟，后来好多乘客都劝司机少说两句，毕竟不开车耽误的是一车人的出行。”后来车子再次启动，孟小姐本以为俩司机打打嘴仗就完了，没想到更可怕的事情还在后面。

两位当事人都证明，事发时路段并不拥堵，车辆也不算多。由于乘客以年轻人居多，不少人着急赶时间，伤势不重的都在司机安排下，乘坐下一趟公交车离开了现场。有几名三四十岁的女乘客受伤较重，坐在道边站不起来了。
据629路和652路公交所属的公交二公司方面介绍，事发后，他们立即责成相关部门进行妥善处理。目前，两名驾驶员已被停职反省，公司将对事故进行追查追责，并按照相关管理规定对事故驾驶员从严处理。
