　　前不久，央视新闻频道《朝闻天下》连续播出了“变了味的放生”节目（节目视频），报道了天津、河北邢台等地一些不法分子专门做起了放生的买卖，放生后反而对生态环境造成破坏或者带来危机。节目播出后，在佛教界也引起了反响。央视新闻客户端也对此进行了关注。

　　中国佛教协会：倡议广大信众拒绝盲目放生

　　中国佛教协会新闻发言人 明杰法师：真的是触目惊心，其实这种现象也得到了佛教界的反思。有组织的大规模放生，由此也产生了所谓的放生的产业链，跟我们所提倡的放生的精神，在本质有一些差距。

　　据了解，中国佛教协会曾就放生发表声明，呼吁佛教徒、信众能够合理放生，慈悲护生。声明认为，在放生的过程之中，如果不能选择适当的物种，选择合适的放生环境，不仅不能达到放生目的，反而容易造成这些物种的死亡，违背了放生的初衷。

　　90岁高龄的台湾佛光寺星云大师，在得知本台播出了《变了味的放生》节目后，接受本台记者专访。

　　星云大师称，放生本来是一件好事，说明我们现在重视生命教育，尊重生命。但是目前的一些放生因为走了样，没有功德却有罪过。这不叫放生，叫“放死”。犯罪分子要再骗人、又再去卖钱，而且还造成了很多生态问题。

　　星云大师认为，组织放生贩卖动物的人与诈骗集团没有差别。此外，社会上往往有一些人为了给自己或亲人祈愿而选择去放生，以求功德，在星云大师看来，放生不如换一种方式更有意义。

　　此外，星云大师说，对人间社会多做一点好事，功德比方说讲孝心、救济贫苦儿童，收养他们过好的生活，让他们接受到这个世界的知识，让他们有大出息，将来为社会、国家，做好事、做功德，这个就叫放生。
