China Ocean shipping sank 17 fishing boats were missing: foreign national exposure

According to the Zhejiang Provincial maritime search and rescue Center: May 7, 5:30, fishing vessel "Lu Rongyu 58398" and the Malta national carrier "CATALINA" (bulk carriers, 225 metres, gross tonnage 40485) in waters about 80 nautical miles from the Ningbo collision, "Lu Rongyu 58398" sank, a total of 19 people on board, of which 2 were fishing near "Lu Rongyu 58397" rescued 17 people missing. "CATALINA" was suspected of escaping. Easterly 5-6 visibility 200-300 metres.

In response to the report, China maritime search and rescue Center, Zhejiang Provincial maritime search and rescue Center to organize search and rescue coordination sent maritime law enforcement boats, professional rescue ships, and specialized rescue helicopter rushed to the rescue, issued navigational warnings, coordination of nearby ships to the search-and-rescue.

At present, near the marine search and rescue is under way. 中国渔船遭外轮撞沉17人失踪：外轮国籍曝光

　　据浙江省海上搜救中心报：5月7日5时30分许，渔船“鲁荣渔58398”与马耳他籍货船“CATALINA”（散货船，船长225米，总吨40485）在距宁波约80海里海域发生碰撞，“鲁荣渔58398”沉没，船上共19人，其中2人被附近渔船“鲁荣渔58397”救起，17人失踪。“CATALINA”轮涉嫌逃逸。现场偏东风5-6级，能见度200-300米。

　　接报后，中国海上搜救中心要求浙江省海上搜救中心全力组织搜救，协调派出海事执法船、专业救助船和专业救助直升机赶往搜救，发布航行警告，协调附近船舶前往搜救。

　　目前，附近船舶正在开展搜救。“海巡22”轮、“海巡0761”轮、“东海救117”轮和海军“东勤870”舰、“588”舰正在赶往现场搜救。“CATALINA”轮正以12节速度朝西南方向航行，中国海上搜救中心已经要求福建省海上搜救中心协助做好事故调查工作。
