5月4日，专案组通过工作进一步落实在场的其他六名联防队员身份，并对其他六人进行问询。其中违法人员邓某飞涉嫌殴打他人，依据相关法律规定，亦被行政拘留十日，并处罚款人民币伍佰元。

纵观上述案件，为何会爆发如此冲突？秀英公安分局一名负责人表示，先是被拆迁户因房屋被拆，对执法人员扔砸汽油瓶，燃放烟花、扔石头激化了矛盾，虽经警方平息纠纷，但是联防队员却又在巡查过程中，克制不住自己的情绪殴打群众，以至于事态进一步扩大。
