Glyphosate causes cancer battle ground the two international agencies say it is not carcinogenic | | glyphosate _ the World Health Organization news

Original title: battle for political solution of glyphosate | carcinogenic landed two big international agencies say they do not cause cancer

Beijing News Alerts (by Dandan Li) as a commonly used pesticide, glyphosate is causing debate in several international institutions has always been there. Today, the World Health Organization and joint United Nations FAO reported, glyphosate is unlikely to cause cancer.

Last March, the World Health Organization (WHO) issued a new resolution caused heated debate. Resolutions say Monsanto's roundup herbicide glyphosate-containing components in the "possibly carcinogenic". The resolution set out in the Lancet Oncology, under a new analysis in the report, and the World Health Organization's international agency for research on cancer (IARC) published on the Web site.

But in November 2015, European food safety authority (EFSA) and the EU Member States to complete the reassessment of herbicide glyphosate, and publish reports that glyphosate is not likely carcinogenic risk to humans.

May 9, 2016-13th, FAO Pesticide expert groups, the World Health Organization Joint Committee on pesticide residues at who headquarters in Geneva to convene joint meetings. Reassessed on the basis of concluded, glyphosate is unlikely to cause cancer.

Reporters saw two great international organizations jointly issued a report, glyphosate is a broad spectrum herbicide, in many creatures have carried out various forms of genetic toxicity tests. Evidence indicates that glyphosate and its preparation oral doses up to 2000 mg/kg body weight (the way most associated with the human dietary exposure, not associated with the genotoxic effects of most mammals), the model applies only to human genetic toxicity risk assessments.

The meeting concluded, glyphosate is unlikely to have dietary toxicity under ideal conditions. On some mice and summarizes the carcinogenicity study in rats, the Conference concluded, no carcinogenic effects of glyphosate on rats, but did not rule out cancer in mice with high doses of glyphosate on the possibility.

In addition, in the absence of rodent and human-related doses of carcinogenic potential of oral toxicity test data and mammalian gene case, integrated epidemiological evidence of occupational exposure. The meeting concluded, from exposure to glyphosate diet, is unlikely to be carcinogenic to humans at risk.
