中央气象台预计，19日至21日，江南、华南等地将再迎来一次较强降雨过程。最新降雨预报显示，届时，贵州南部、广西中北部和东部、广东大部及湖南中南部、江西、安徽南部、江苏东南部、浙江大部、福建西部和北部等地将有大到暴雨，局地大暴雨，上述地区过程累计降雨量有50～120毫米，广西东北部、广东中北部、湖南南部、江西东北部的局部地区可达150～220毫米。
本次降雨过程的最强降雨时段出现在19日至20日，1小时最大雨强可达30～50毫米，局地60～80毫米；同时，降雨期间将伴有短时强降雨、雷暴大风等强对流天气。中央气象台提醒公众及时关注最新天气预报，提前做好防范措施，尽量避免在强降雨时段外出，注意出行安全。
受降雨影响，湖南南部、江西东部和西南部、福建西部、广东北部、广西北部、贵州南部等地的部分地区发生地质灾害气象风险较高，其中湖南西南部的局部地区、广西北部地质灾害气象风险高；湖南南部、江西东部、福建西部、广东北部、广西北部等地的部分地区发生山洪灾害和中小河流洪水气象风险较高。
气象专家指出，由于此次较强降雨过程影响范围广、累计雨量大，且与前期多雨区重叠，建议贵州、湖南、江西、浙江、福建、广东、广西等地需加强江河、水库、湖泊和城市的防汛，以及山洪、泥石流、山体滑坡等灾害的防御工作。另外，强降雨、强对流天气对夏收区收获不利，建议避开降雨时段，抢晴收晒已成熟油菜，防止霉烂、发芽。
