今年5月2日至13日，中意两国警方在中国游客较多的罗马和米兰两个城市开展了联合巡逻，重点就涉及中国公民的事务进行执法合作。
近年来，中意两国经贸人文交流日趋频繁。公安部数据显示，中国每年赴意大利的游客达300万人次以上，涉及旅意中国公民的案件也不断增多。为 进一步维护海外中国公民权益，中意双方于2015年9月签署了《中华人民共和国公安部和意大利共和国内政部关于开展警务联合巡逻的谅解备忘录》，决定自 2016年起启动联合警务巡逻。
公安部国际合作局欧洲工作处处长王钢介绍，在此次联合巡逻中，4名中方警员着中国公安制式警服，与意大利警员混合编组，采取徒步或乘车的形式 在旅游景点开展巡逻；中方警员不携带武器、警械，不驾驶意方车辆，主要通过现场协助中国游客与意大利警方交流沟通、提供警务建议的方式配合意大利警方工 作。联合执法行动有力地促进了中国游客、华人华侨与当地执法部门的沟通互信，受到了两国民众的热烈欢迎。
公安部副部长孟宏伟表示，此次中意联合警务巡逻是中意执法合作深入发展和不断创新的成果，证明中国公安工作已经进入国际化新阶段。公安部将以此为契机认真总结经验，不断创新和深化国际执法合作。
据悉，按照备忘录签署的内容，今后中意警方还会根据实际情况再次启动联合警务巡逻；同时，中方将根据意方的请求，接受意方来华进行考察培训，并根据实际情况与其他国家开展此类警务合作。(完)
