3月23日中午时分，白云区辖内某快递公司来了几名男子，他们声称有一批货物要托运到外地，此次需要托运的货物量十分大。
在将货物卸到该公司仓库及填写完发货单和寄件人身份信息后，工作人员严格落实物流寄递行业管理规定的“三个百分百”(100%实名登记、100%开箱验视、100%过X光机安检)，要求对寄出的货物当面开箱检查。

今年以来，白云警方已接到“快递小哥”举报涉毒邮包线索6条，共查获企图通过物流寄递渠道运往外地的毒品414公斤，除去此次奖励之外，已分别对有功的“快递小哥”先行发放了奖励5.5万元。
