答：中国政府一贯坚持通过谈判协商和平解决与菲律宾在南海的有关争议，这是中菲达成并多次确认的共识，也是《南海各方行为宣言》的明确规定。中方已于2006年根据《联合国海洋法公约》第298条的规定，将涉及划定海洋边界、历史性海湾或所有权、军事和执法活动等争端排除在《公约》规定的争端解决程序之外。菲律宾政府2013年1月单方面提起仲裁前，并未就有关事项与中方进行任何磋商或谈判，更谈不上用尽了双边谈判解决争议的手段。菲律宾单方面提起仲裁，既不符合《公约》规定的提起仲裁的条件，也不可能起到解决争议的作用，更不可能达到解决争议的目的。
中方一贯主张，中菲在南海的有关争议，只有通过双边谈判协商才能寻求真正解决。各方应鼓励菲律宾根据中菲双边共识、《南海各方行为宣言》和包括《公约》在内的国际法，与中方通过谈判和平解决争议。
问：澳大利亚交通安全局官员称，MH370客机搜寻工作可能将在7月结束。中方对此有何评论？
答：我不掌握你说的情况。中方将继续与澳方、马方就搜寻工作保持沟通与合作。
