Researcher at the provincial Institute of cultural relics and archaeology, archaeology team leader Liu Hui said, the site of a number of animal bones and dense layer of fish bones, and unearthed a large number of chipped stone tools and a small number of polished stone implements, and a large number of ancient pottery. 湖北松滋江心洲发现史前人类遗址 距今约8000年|人类遗址|考古_新闻资讯
遗址 昨日，省文物考古研究所对外披露，在长江松滋段江心洲，发现距今约8000年的史前遗址，该遗址为长江中游同时期规模最大，说明松滋是长江中游文明发祥地之一。
该遗址位于松滋市陈店镇全心村四组关洲东北部，命名为关洲遗址，总面积约16000平方米。2013年，考古部门进行水下考古调查时，发现此处有文化层，即古代人类活动留下来的痕迹、遗物等形成的堆积层。去年11月起，为弄清楚关洲遗址的文化内涵和价值，在国家文物局大遗址保护专项资金资助下，省文物考古研究所与松滋市博物馆组成考古队，对该遗址进行考古发掘，共发掘325平方米。
省文物考古研究所研究员、考古领队刘辉称，该遗址发现有大量兽骨和密集成层分布的鱼骨，同时出土有大量打制石器和少量磨制石器，以及大量原始陶器。可知当时已从渔猎时代向农耕时代转变，生产类石器及大量陶器尤其是炊器的发现，进一步说明人类已处于比较稳定的定居农业阶段。
刘辉还称，该遗址年代应为距今约8000年的新石器时代早中期，属同时期长江中游规模最大的遗址，对认识这一时期人类聚落形态、生业类型、文化面貌均具有重要意义。此外，松滋此前已发现多个史前遗址，关洲遗址的发现进一步说明松滋是长江中游文明发祥地之一。
江心一块洲地，何以引来原始人栖居？对此，刘辉称，考古队请中国地质大学专业人士前来勘察过，初步认为，关洲遗址在当时应与陆地连在一起，后因长江航道变化，逐渐独立成一块江心洲。“其特殊地理位置，给考古工作带来了不便”，刘辉称，该遗址无水无电无常住居民，考古工作者只能自带干粮，每天撑着小船横渡长江往返，历经100多天，终于抢在长江水位上涨淹没遗址前，完成考古发掘。（记者海冰、实习生王方）
