新快报记者了解到，邱军平从一名普通公务员做起，后升任高明区文化馆馆长和高明区文体旅游局副局长，2014年调任到更合镇。曾经与他共事多年的一位公务员告诉记者，邱军平性格乐观，做事细致周全，为人口碑不错。他于事发前一天晚上还与教育局相关人员一起安排工作，他的同事未觉异常。
佛山市纪委一位工作人员于昨天下午告诉新快报记者：“坠楼原因不详，没有因为查办案件接触过他。”
