　　经调查了解，5月17日晚近8时，张际勇在亲人的陪同下，到城区事故处理组值夜班。当晚9时30分许，张际勇独自离开单位，去向不明。

　　5月18日上午，兴化市公安局交警大队负责人获知张际勇未回家的信息后，迅速启动人员查找、原因调查、亲人接待安抚等工作。

　　5月20日下午1时许，根据群众报警，警方在城区华丰城市花园小区东侧的南官河边发现张的尸体并打捞出水。
